Yoga Teacher / Acupuncturist / Personal Trainer
Greg was first introduced to yoga as a small child and never imagined he would one day be teaching this ageless discipline. After leaving college Greg worked as a personal trainer at the prestigious Riverside Health club in London. He was there for 6 years during which time he was studying for his diploma in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Qualifying as a teacher in 1998, Greg began teaching and practising across London before moving to Sydney in 2004.
Greg has studied two classical yoga styles in depth.
Sivananda – a North Indian style focusing on breath, static postures and relaxation. Astanga Vinyasa – a dynamic South Indian style focusing on body alignment, internal focus, correct alignment, strength and flexibility.
Greg’s teaching is influenced heavily by his 25 year martial arts background (Wing Chun Kung Fu, Aikido, Jiu Jitsu), Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine training. His own injuries and medical background make Greg sympathetic and knowledgeable about student’s issues and he is always available after class for a chat and advice. He and his family moved to Queenstown in 2008 and have since gone on to establish the Nadi Well-Being Centre. He brings to QTA a wealth of knowledge and experience that can only be beneficial for our students and academy.
